Cherie & Steve from Nottingham recently came to Paphos for a week’s holiday; staying in Kato Paphos close to the shelter. On hearing the dogs, they decided to go and investigate and ended up not only spending most of their holiday with us but also adopting one of our dogs. How wonderful is this.
Every morning when they visited, they would take the dogs for their walk and also spend time with the cats, donkeys and horses. One dog in particular they became totally smitten with and just couldn’t leave her behind so decided to adopt her. Just take a look at these amazing photos they took during their stay with us.
One year old Affie, as she is now affectionately called, short Our Lady Aphrodite of Paphos no less, arrived in Nottingham at the end of January to start a new life with such a loving family. Both Cherie and Steve were super excited waiting for her to arrive.
The house has been cleaned like the queen’s coming 🤣 comfy beds and chicken at the ready for later,’ said Cherie. And just look at the photos of her after she arrived. In Cherie’s words ‘ She has mastered the stairs and settling in really well already. She’s an absolute babe ❤
We chatted with Cherie and Steve during their stay and Cherie told us that she is planning to do a sponsored walk/run with Miss Affie to support us; the equivalent distance being from Nottingham to Paphos, some 2713 miles! They will be setting up a sponsor page where they will be putting pictures and videos of the three of them on their journey and Affie will be the star of the show.
